Administrative Clerk Interns

The duties and responsibilities of an Administrative Clerk at the Music in Everything (MIE) Corporation include:

  • Answering customer inquiries and addressing their concerns, providing information, and taking and processing orders

  • Setting up appointments, scheduling meetings, distributing reports, and managing the correspondence between the office and external bodies

  • Answering phone calls and calling customers/vendors to follow up on appointments and deliveries

  • Managing office inventory and working with vendors to ensure a consistent supply of office materials

Music Artist Managers Interns

Artist Managers and Booking Agents:

Artist Managers (AM) are broadly responsible for keeping performing artists happy in their relationship with a company – whether it be a record label, musical venue, a company whose brand or product an artist is endorsing, or an organization for whom an artist is creating promotional content. The heart of an AM’s job is building a good relationship and an open channel of communication with the artist, ensuring their satisfaction while identifying any problems and working efficiently to solve them.

Who Should Apply:

The job is entry-level for all applicants. You must have the educational requirement of a High School Diploma/GED/Diploma Equivalency.  You must be able to receive credit from your university to be eligible to apply for this position.

AMs can work a simple daily schedule in and out of an office or remotely. AMs will be responsible for making contact with clients in the music industry, handling paperwork, facilitating contracts, maintaining social media accounts, processing ticket requests, and scheduling events such as promotional trips, after-show parties, and launch and book events for the artist being represented.

Entertainment & General Law Interns

We are seeking motivated law students or recent graduates to join our team as Legal Interns. This internship offers an immersive experience in entertainment law and general legal practice. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real-world cases, conduct legal research, draft documents, and gain valuable industry insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on entertainment law, contracts, intellectual property, and general legal matters.

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

  • Support attorneys in transactional matters, including licensing deals, talent agreements, and copyright/trademark issues.

  • Attend client meetings, depositions, or court hearings (if applicable).

  • Analyze case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to entertainment and business law.

  • Help with contract negotiations and dispute resolution processes.

  • Prepare memorandums, case summaries, and internal legal reports.

  • Assist with administrative and case management tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited law school (JD or LLM program preferred).

  • Strong research and analytical skills.

Artist Scheduling & Performance Assistant

The Robert Rucker Project, recently added to the MTA Music Under New York roster, is seeking an organized and motivated Scheduling & Performance Assistant. This role is ideal for students or emerging professionals in music management, arts administration, or related fields who want hands-on experience in live music programming, artist management, and NYC public arts initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly scheduling requests with MTA Music Under New York.

  • Confirm performance slots and maintain a shared calendar for the band.

  • Communicate performance details (time, station, setup needs) with musicians.

  • Serve as liaison between the band and MTA staff when needed.

  • Assist with basic artist management tasks (promotion, outreach, documenting performances).

  • Provide occasional on-site support at scheduled performances.

Desired Qualifications

  • Interest in arts administration, music industry, or event management.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).

  • Ability to manage deadlines and coordinate multiple schedules.

  • NYC-based or able to commute to MTA stations when required.

Compensation

Internship credit (if enrolled through a college program) OR

Stipend / Hourly pay for freelance assistants (to be discussed based on availability).
